Deep Canyons and Riverside climbing

Ardèche Canyon, France

In the south of France the Ardèche river has carved a deep and winding canyon into the landscape.
Along this canyon we find plenty of cliffs of beautiful, compact limestone, located on the edge of the wild river. The climbing style is characterised by technical slabs and vertical walls with good crimps and pockets.
Between climbs the river invites for a swim to cool off and to relax on the riverbeds.
On hot days we can stay cool by visiting one of the deep water solo spots.

Steep limestone CLIFFS

Vercors, French Pre-Alps

The Vercors is a mountain range located in the Pre-Alps between Grenoble and Valence, between Isère and Drôme. The area is dominated by rugged plateaus, steep limestone cliffs, deep canyons and caves, inviting visitors for a range of different outdoor activities.
The area first gained popularity for its alpine climbs on the Gerbier ridge, and was later discovered for the high quality free climbing on its vertical cliffs.

Alpine Landscapes AND Remote Crags

Écrins National Park, French Alps

The Écrins are located in the heart of the French Alps with some of the highest peaks and glaciers. Leading from Briançon into the Écrins massive, the Vallouise valley features charming little villages and is surrounded by impressive alpine landscapes.
Here we find plenty of peaceful climbing crags in a beautifully preserved natural setting. The rock ranges from good quality limestone to more alpine rock types.
